REVIGLASS
Ceramica 28 is the authorized distributor for Reviglass mosaic in Singapore.
The mosaic is made of 100% recycled glass.
Reviglass mosaic comes with a Revolutionary Polyurethane Cord backing. With such backing, more than 90% of the tile is on an adhesion surface and less than 2% of the joint is occupied with Polyurethane Cord.
Reviglass has further developed and patented an antislip technology which allows the company to produce tiles with an antiskid finish without losing the soft and silky touch of glass mosaic.

The SUPPORT / tile backing
In general, the industrial mosaics are presented glued to a support
whose objective is simply to transport the tiles from the factory
to the construction site in a specific order and shape.
The support can be found on the front of the tiles or on their back.
The crucial matter with this support is that it must allow a free
surface on the back of the tiles of at least a 70%.
This way, the adhesive can contact a maximum area on the
back of the mosaic, free of any element between the adhesive
and the tile, including any rest of glue.
The most demanding standards, like the Australian ones,
recommend the manufacturers to provide a free back surface
of at least 85% for their use in swimming-pools.
TYPES of SUPPORTS
ADAPTED FOR POOL INSTALLATION
Paper Face
The mosaics are attached to a sheet of paper on its front side.
This traditional support, duly installed in the factory, is technically the most reliable of the mosaic installation systems, since it gets 100% of adhesion surface to the glue.
PVC Dots
The 2.5×2.5 cm tiles are joined to each other by PVC dots.
These dots take up some space on the side of the tile, so the use of epoxy grout is recommended. The adhesion surface to the glue is approximately 90%.
Polyurethane Cord
The tiles, as in the previous system, are joined to each other, this time, using
strips of polyurethane cord (Hot-Melt). This system gets an adhesion surface
to the glue of more than 90% in the 2.5×2.5 cm mosaic. Epoxy grout is not
necessary in this case, unless required by the project.
This system is also available in 5×5 cm mosaics.
ANTISLIP TECHNOLOGY
Reviglass has developed and patented an antislip technology, with which we are able to provide an antiskid finish to our glass mosaics, without losing the soft and silky touch of our tiles.
